Ultreïa is an expression of joy of the Middle Ages, mainly related to the pilgrimage of Santiago de Compostela. This greeting of the pilgrims of Santiago de Compostela means: to go further and higher. It is the expression of physical and spiritual overcoming.

L’Autre Chemin offers the emblematic route from Le Puy-en-Velay, the Saint-James way of Santiago de Compostela! A real immersion in the universe of the pilgrimage with quality stops selected by L’Autre Chemin. Because we have personally checked the route, we propose to ride as close as possible to the “Chemin” but also sometimes on small roads when it becomes too complicated for a “rider pilgrim”.

An e-bike tour in the heart of nature from Le Puy-en-VelayHaute-Loire to Conques Aveyron. Your tour will pass through the plateaus of Margueride and Aubrac but also the Lot Valley(where we suggest 2 routes : The authentic way to follow the Compostela route or The Lot valley route to join Conques following the river…)

A e-bike tour  out of time, in the millennial traces … Ultreïa and buen camino!

  • Difference in elevation :  4090m for the authentic way and 3950m for the Lot valley route – Country roads and paths
  • Athletic tour with significant drop
  • Family tour : Children from ages of 14 (according to cycle ability)

This long-distance tour requires a good autonomy in the management of the bike: how to change an inner tube… But also a good control of the piloting of a bike (significant drop, steep descents …)

Advantages of going on a bike tour with L’Autre Chemin:

  • You travel self-guided and follow a specially-planned route with short stages so that you can make the most of your time in the Haute-Loire.
  • Extra, we provide modern electric bikes that are both comfortable and easy to ride. L’Autre Chemin can also supply children’s bikes or trailers.
  • Your stopovers are in guesthouses or family-friendly hotels, providing a comfortable and authentic base from which you can discover the local area and enjoy a real change of scenery.
  • Your luggage is transferred to each stopover (you only need to carry what you need for the day with you).
  • All of the itineraries have been tried and tested to ensure that our packages are both extraordinary and accessible.
